Makers of Rajinikanth-starrer, upcoming Tamil feature Petta, unveiled a much awaited teaser of the film to celebrate the superstar's 68th birthday. One of the most anticipated films of , Petta  is being helmed by Karthik Subbaraj . It also features actors such as Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Simran, Trisha, Malavika Mohanan, Megha Akash and Bobby Simha among others in key roles.

The teaser depicts Rajinikanth in his typical swagger. Slow motion shots capture the Thalaiva as he walks. The teaser ends with a fan-favourite — him wearing his shades with the now-trademark circular motion.

Petta will reportedly mark many things as first time. Subbaraj will work together with Rajinikanth for the first time and besides this Simran, Trisha and Sethupathy will be seen alongside Rajinikanth for the very first time. In addition Siddiqui will make his Tamil debut with Petta while Anirudh Ravichander is planned to compose the score in his maiden project with Rajinikanth in Petta. Ravichander shared the teaser on his Twitter handle.
