Former Indian Captain MS Dhoni has impressed the fans with unmatchable skills behind the stump. He has made an uncountable number of run-outs, stumpings while taking some breathtaking catches behind the stumps as he continues to defy odds. However, during India’s warm-up match against New Zealand at the Kennington Oval in London on Saturday, Dhoni did something unusual and allowed Dinesh Karthik to don the wicket-keeping gloves in the match.

Thala who opted to rest for a while following the end of India’s inning came back to the field but didn’t take the gloves from Karthik. Rather he opted to field at deep fine-leg and made a couple of good saves.

Karthik, who performed well while donning the gloves, dropped an easy catch and the on-air commentators immediately mentioned Dhoni’s skills from behind the stumps.

Talking about practice match,  India were off to a torrid start as they were bundled out for a paltry 179 Chasing the 180-run target, the Black Caps lost Colin Munro early following a stunner by Jasprit Bumrah. However, skipper Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor’s brilliant half-centuries guided the side to a 6-wicket win. None of the Indian bowlers put up a show as New Zealand thrashed the Men in Blue easily.
