Indian Skipper The run Machine Virat Kohli scored his 25th Test century in the first innings of the ongoing second Test match against Australia. It is being played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Captain Kohli hit towards Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc for a boundary in the second delivery of the 81st over to get his century. With the bundle of joy Kohli celebrated the occasion with some swagger. The Indian skipper raised his bat with all pleasure and showed his gloves to make quiet his haters as many questioned on Kohli's skills after a depressing opening Test with the bat at the Adelaide Oval.

Worth mention here Kohli, in the opening Test match, had only scored 3 and 34 in the first and second innings respectively.

With this tremendous ton, the 30-year-old batter is now third in the list to hit most number of centuries against Australia. So far only former Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar with 11 and eight tons respectively are to the lead of the Indian skipper. Notably Kohli has seven centuries against Australia. In addition Kohli is also the second-fastest player to attain to 25 Test ton-mark as he took only 127 innings to pull off the feat. Till the date Only Sir Don Bradman is ahead of Kohli to complete 25 Test tons. The great former Aussie took only 68 innings to obtain to the amazing feat.
