Indian skipper Virat Kohli burnt the dance floor with Shikhar Dhawan's son Zoravar at his wedding reception in Mumbai at the St Regis on Tuesday. Kohli took the little kid in his arms and did a little jig to good-natured laughter and cheer. Several cricketers current and former attended Kohli and Anushka Sharma's wedding reception. The couple had tied the knot in Italy in a private ceremony on December 11 and held a reception in Delhi last week for their famlies and close friends.
The reception in Mumbai was expected to be a starry affair with several of Kohli's cricket colleagues and Anushka's friends from the Bollywood fraternity in attendance. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Harbhajan Singh were the star attractions. Anil Kumble, who had stepped down as coach following differences with Kohli earlier in the year, also attended the event. Former skipper Sunil Gavaskar was also at the venue to bless the couple.
Among Kohli's current team-members, there were the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jajdea, Wriddhiman Saha, Kuldeep Yadav, R Ashwin, Manish Pandey, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But the most awaited arrival was perhaps that of Dhawan. The duo had also danced to loud applause in Delhi last week. The two batsmen, close friends of many years, revel in each other's company and enjoy batting together. Dhawan will be an integral part of Kohli's team when India tour South Africa for three Tests, six ODIs and three T20 Internationals.
