This research has been done by a team from the University of Cambridge and the University of Hong Kong, which revealed that if a person watches TV for less than 1 hour on a regular basis every day, he can be protected from the risk of coronary heart disease by up to 11%. Everyone that if a person sits for a long time and stays away from physical activities, then the risk of heart disease increases. And the researchers shared data from the UK Biobank, according to which sitting on the screen for a long time not only reduces physical activity in a person's life but can also increase coronary heart disease in the body.

In more than 5 million people who compiled their polygenic risk scores of each, the researchers observed that people who watched more than 4 hours of TV on a regular basis had the highest risk of heart disease. While people who watched two to three hours of TV a day had a 6% lower rate of developing heart disease. People who were watching less than 1 hour of TV had a 16% lower rate of developing heart disease.
