Davos: Warning the world about the harmful effect of the climate change UN chief Antonio Guterres on Thursday said that we are losing the race.

UN Chief demanded that governments make bolder commitments beyond the Paris accord. He said that Climate change is the defining issue of our time. We are losing the race." Hew further said that It is absolutely central to reverse this trend."

UN Chief that world need the government who understands the climate change which is most importamt priority.  Guterres said, we need political will and we need governments who understand that this is the most important priority of our times." The Paris climate accord has been shaken by the withdrawal of the United States under President Donald Trump, and by threats to do the same by Brazil's new hard-right leader Jair Bolsonaro.

The UN secretary-general said on a Facebook Live broadcast from Davos  that the commitments made in Paris were already not enough. He "If what we agreed in Paris would be materialised, the temperature would rise more than 3.0 degrees (Celsius). He also added that need countries to make stronger commitments to respond to the issue.
