New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a big statement about the next general elections in the country. Nitish Kumar had said that after the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress should now come forward and not delay the opposition unity. Now a message has also come from Congress on this statement of Nitish.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has said that opposition unity is necessary. For this unity, Congress took out the Bharat Jodo Yatra. We know our role very well. Congress is the only party that has never compromised with the BJP. We have only one face and we are in front of the BJP. On the question of opposition unity, Jairam Ramesh said that all parties were invited during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. There has been a change after the journey. Now the convention is being held regarding this journey. He further said that opposition unity is not possible without a strong Congress. Congress is in alliance in many states.

On this issue, KC Venugopal said that Congress has already taken the initiative to make it a common fight against the BJP by bringing the opposition together due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Congress has welcomed Nitish Kumar's statement. Our job is to reduce the BJP's seats. Talking about the convention, KC Venugopal said that the 85th plenary session is going to be held in Raipur from February 24. There will be discussions in this session as it happened in Udaipur. In Udaipur, we had detailed discussions on economic, political, and social issues. This is an important session in our journey of 2024. 15 thousand delegates will participate in it. The last session was held in Hyderabad under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.
