Moscow: The very next day of US President Joe Biden's visit to Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the country. Addressing the Russian Parliament in the Kremlin, Putin said that we consider war as the last option and seek resolution through dialogue. He said that we wanted a peaceful solution, but western countries including America spoiled the whole atmosphere. Putin further said that the US has played the same game in Ukraine, that it played in countries like Iraq and Syria. There were attempts of discussion from our side, which were ignored by the West. War was the last option for us, on which we had to decide.

Putin said that the security of our people is important and cannot be compromised. Along with this, objection has also been expressed on the interference of NATO countries. Putin said that NATO's interference in Russia is continuously increasing. Western countries are promoting the Ukraine war to increase their power. Ukraine also promoted the killings. He said Russia is capable of defending itself and will not back down. We do not want any bloodshed, but such situations are being created by the west.

Accusing Ukraine of not being serious about peace, said that it made a mockery of the proposals. Due to this the peace talks could not progress further. He said that America is trying to sell its weapons on the pretext of the Ukraine war. Western countries are using this war for their own benefit. The Russian President said that western countries are attacking the culture of Russia and are presenting new challenges every day. In such a situation neither we will retreat nor should we retreat.
