The Indian women's hockey team may have missed the medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, but their excellent performance won the hearts of every Indian, including the country's PM. India's daughters fought till the end of the match, but the victory did not came to their favour. The women's hockey team's journey was completed at the Olympics without a medal.

 

 

Great Britain defeated India 4-3 to clinch the Tokyo Olympics bronze medal. Even though the best journey did not end as fans and teams wanted, Prime Minister Modi has encouraged the women's hockey team. Prime Minister Modi writes: We will always remember the great performance of our women's hockey team at Tokyo 2020. They gave their best throughout. Each and every member of the team is blessed with remarkable courage, skill, and resilience. India is proud of this outstanding team.

The same Prime Minister Modi also wrote that in women's hockey, we missed out on medals by a very small margin, but this team shows the spirit of New India, where we give our best. More importantly, his best performance at Tokyo 2020 will inspire India's young daughters to adopt hockey and excel in it.
