“The situation would have been different had they (BJP) won just 250 seats (in Lok Sabha elections). We would have then supported BJP only after they signed the Special Category Status document,” he said.

“If the BJP would've been limited to 250 seats, we wouldn't have had to depend so much on the central govt. But now, they don't need us. We did what we could do and told him (PM) of our situation,” ANI quoted Reddy as saying.

Reddy also said that he has nothing against Andhra Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and added that his duty is that of a custodian. Promising to the people that his government will be revolutionary Mr. Reddy said, "Within 6 months-1 yr I will ensure this government stands as exemplary to the country."

During the meeting with PM Modi, he also talked about the state's financial situation and sought central funds. He also invited the PM Narendra Modi to his swearing-in on May 30 in Vijayawada.
