New Delhi: Intense heat wave continues across north India including Delhi-NCR. The heat in Delhi broke the ten-year record on Monday. The maximum temperature recorded in Safdarjung was 45.6 °c. The highest temperature was recorded at 46.7 degrees Celsius on June 17, 1945.

According to the information, the Meteorological Department had already issued a red alert over the scorching heat for June 10.
