Mumbai: The city was knocked out by pre-monsoon late Sunday night. There was a heavy rain in Wadala area. It relieved people a lot from the heat. The Met department has announced to reach out to other parts of the country through monsoon Kerala. Rain has started in South India, there is still a little more time to reach the monsoon to northern India.
As per the information received from sources, the National Capital Region, Haryana and Punjab will get relief from the heat after June 11 when it rains due to Western disturbance. In Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura were likely to be hit by the weather conditions in the North east.
With this, the heat still continues to wreak havoc in most parts of the country. The mercury has crossed 45 degrees Celsius in the plains of North India, central India and many parts of South India. In Rajasthan, the mercury has gone beyond 50 °c. Let's say the heat is wreaking havoc in the whole country.
