Bhubaneswar: In many states of the country, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains with a strong storm. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal, named Amphan. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Andaman and Nicobar, Odisha, West Bengal due to this Emphon storm. Apart from this, in many other states, winds can run at high speed and it may rain. The meteorological department has issued an alert regarding this.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands within 24 hours. Rainfall may occur in some areas of West Bengal along with the coastal areas of Odisha. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh regarding cyclonic storm Amphan. There are chances of rains with strong winds in the next 2 to 3 days in the coastal areas of the state.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the active western disturbance in the country, mountainous regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand as well as Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh can see changes in the weather. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these regions. The Meteorological Department said that the low-pressure area created in the Bay of Bengal can take the form of a cyclone. Therefore, an alert has been issued for the coastal areas of Odisha.
