Heavy rain to hit Punjab for next three days, Met Office issues 'high alert'

Chandigarh: Several parts of the country are currently reeling under heavy rains and floods. Rain is wreaking havoc In Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. In Punjab, an alert has been sounded for heavy rain. According to the Met department, heavy rain is expected in Punjab for the next 2 to 3 days.

On the other hand, in view of the rain alert, CM Captain Amarinder Singh has also issued an order asking everyone to remain on high alert. Cm Amarinder has issued an order on Friday night asking all Deputy Commissioners to keep an eye on the situation while on high alert. On an alert issued by the Met department, CM Captain Amarinder Singh asked all Deputy Commissioners to be prepared for any situation in view of the rain situation. They have also been asked to ensure the safety of the people from the next 2 to 3 rains.

According to an official spokesperson, CM Captain Amarinder Singh is keeping an eye on the situation in Punjab in view of the rain alert. He asked the power department, health department, food department and other concerned departments to be fully prepared to deal with any situation. CM Amarinder has also sought advice from these departments on relief and rescue operations in view of the post-rain situation.
