Bhopal: The process of lightning to heavy rain continues in Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the coming 24 hours warning of lightning and falling with heavy rains for various areas of the state. During the last 24 hours, rain was recorded at many places in the districts of Rewa and Shahdol divisions and in the districts of the remaining divisions.

Rainfall of 2 to 5 cm has been recorded in many districts of the state. These include 5 mm in Sihawal, 4-4 mm in Singrauli and Bichhiya, 3-3 mm in Malalakhand, Shahpura, Hanumna, Sohagpur, Rajpur and Raghagarh, Gohaparu, Khurai, Sidhi, Karanjia, Mada, Devsar, Pohri, Ishagarh and Badarwas. 2–2 mm of rain is recorded.

Maximum temperature fell especially in the districts of Bhopal division. The temperature in the districts of Indore and Gwalior divisions dropped significantly and there was no significant change in the temperature in the districts of the remaining divisions. The temperature in the districts of Hoshangabad division was less than normal. The districts of Rewa and Bhopal divisions were much lower than normal, the districts of Indore division less than normal and the temperature in the remaining divisions districts normal. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 41 degree Celsius.
