New Delhi: Met Department has issued a heavy rain alert in several parts of the country including Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Assam. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the sky will be cloudy throughout the day on Saturday in Delhi NCR. The cloudy weather throughout the day will retain the coolness and humidity in the capital.

In Delhi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degree Celsius today and the maximum temperature is expected to reach 33 degree Celsius. It may also cause light showers. According to the Met department, there is no possibility of heavy rain for the next two days. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Maharashtra, Kokan and Goa in view of the possibility of heavy rains. The department says strong winds may cause heavy rains here. People in coastal areas have been asked to remain alert due to strong rains and winds.

With this, heavy rain is expected in eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Odisha. An orange alert has been issued by the Indian Meteorological Department in these states. According to the Met department, heavy rain is expected in East Delhi, Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad, Chaparola, Faridabad, Palwal, Sohana, Bijnore, Roorkee, Jahangirabad, Gulothi, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Amroha and adjoining areas.
