There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Mumbai for the next two days. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next 2 days, forecasting torrential rains in Mumbai and adjoining coastal areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Ratnagiri district on Friday and Raigarh on Saturday. There was a lot of damage in the Ratnagiri district due to the cyclonic storm Nisarg that came last month. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Mumbai.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall between 64.5 millimetres to 115.5 millimeters within 24 hours and heavy rainfall between 115.5 millimetres to 204.5 millimeters is classified as extremely heavy rainfall. Another official of the meteorological department said that an orange alert has been issued for Friday and Saturday. Administration and people have been asked to be cautious.
