New Delhi: Most of the north Indian states are reeling under a severe heatwave. The first week of April is going on and the scorching sun and heat have made it difficult for people to live. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no possibility of any heat relief for the next five days in northwest and central India. With this, the northern parts of Gujarat will see the havoc of a heatwave for the next 3 days. At the same time, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, parts of Bihar and parts of the Jammu region and Chhattisgarh.

During the coming 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim and sub-Himalayan West Bengal may receive heavy rainfall at some places with light to moderate rainfall, according to the MET department's forecast.
