Madhya Pradesh: Met Office warns of heavy rain, Flood threat

Bhopal: Rain is still lashing many parts of the country. Many areas are still reeling under floods and affecting normal life. The Met Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in madhya Pradesh and other parts of the state including capital Bhopal. According to the Met department, heavy to very heavy rain may occur in many parts of the state during the next 24 hours. The Met department has instructed people not to stay out of their homes for long and remain in safer areas.

According to the Met department, the adjoining areas of north-eastern Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are under low pressure, which is likely to cause heavy rains in the state during the next 24 to 48 hours. Rain has also lashed several parts of the state during the past 24 hours. The rain has brought down the temperature in the state. Earlier, heavy rains had disrupted the state, causing floods in several areas of the state and causing flood like situation in many areas.

On Friday, capital Bhopal recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6 degrees, Indore 22.8 degrees, Gwalior 23.7 degrees and Jabalpur 24 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 30.1 degrees, Indore 29.6 degrees, Gwalior 30.8 degrees and Jabalpur 28.5 degrees Celsius.
