Weather Update: Manali and Delhi will be colder in next four days, IMD issues alert

Shimla: The freezing cold over Delhi could occur in the next 72 hours, have the weather scientists received signals from Western Disturbance that siren has caused a great danger of nature. Two days later, January is coming, which will freeze half of India. If there is heavy snowfall in the mountains, cold wave is going to be tightened in the plains.

Due to the cold winds moving from the Himalayas towards the plains, cold weather is forecast for the next 4 days in parts of Delhi. This information has been given by the officials of the Meteorological Department. The Meteorological Department said that on the eve of New Year, the temperature can reach 3 degree Celsius. Kuldip Srivastava, head of IMD's Regional Forecast Center, said that there has been 'sporadic to very good' snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to western disturbances. He said that cold and dry northern/northwest winds from the western Himalayas could reduce the temperature in North India by 3 to 5 degree Celsius.

The IMD said, 'During the next three days (29-31 December), the minimum temperature in northwest India can decrease by 3-5 degree Celsius. After that, there will be a slight increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius'. In view of this danger, the Meteorological Department has also issued an orange warning for the states.
