The Meteorological Department said that there is a low-pressure area on the Bay of Bengal near the coast of North Odisha and West Bengal. Due to the southwest winds, torrential rains are expected in most parts of the country for the next two days.
In 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an 'Orange Alert' regarding heavy rain. According to the Meteorological Department's statement, parts of northern India including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan may receive rain for the next two days. Heavy is expected in western India including Gujarat, Goa, Konkan and parts of central Maharashtra for the next 4-5 days.
