New Delhi: The incessant rains wreaked havoc in various parts of the country. Public life has been disturbed by rain, floods, and landslides. Rain is causing havoc in Uttarakhand. The Char Dham Yatra has also been affected due to floods and landslides. Roads have been built at seven places in the Parrot Valley in front of Rishikesh on the Badrinath-Kedarnath road. The government has not been able to restore traffic on National Highway 58 in the last 7 days.

There is a continuous landslide in Chamoli in Uttarakhand. Debris from the mountains once again fell on NH-58. Due to landslide, Badrinath-Haridwar road was blocked and the vehicles passing through it got stuck. The footbridge in the Irani and Jhinjhi Gram Panchayat area was washed away by the rainwater on Thursday. People are crossing the river putting their lives in danger. In Kheda village of Tehri, a house collapsed completely due to the crack of the mountain amidst the rain. The Rescue Team brought out the people buried in the debris by working hard. On Friday, 3 people lost their lives in Uttarakhand.

According to the Skymet Weather Report, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and some areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the next 24 hours is expected to receive light to moderate rain. Light rain may occur in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir.
