Heatwave in Delhi for next two days, MET department's forecast scares

New Delhi: Heatwave conditions have started burning again in the country's capital Delhi. Meanwhile, the Met department (IMD) has predicted that light rain from Wednesday will give relief from the heat of hot winds. Due to the changes in the weather, the movement of clouds will be seen and there may be light thunderstorms in the evening. This will give relief to the people.

Delhi's standard observatory Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 40.9 degrees on Sunday, four notches above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.7 degrees. However, there is no heatwave conditions in the capital yet. The Met department said that the maximum temperature is expected to reach 42 degrees in the next two days. The capital experienced the highest heatwave in the Ridge area on Sunday. The highest temperature was recorded at 42.6 degrees Celsius. Sports Complex, Pitampura, Najafgarh, Palam, and Ayanagar weather stations recorded a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius.

The Met department says the maximum temperature between Monday and Tuesday could go up to 42 degrees Celsius. People will have to face severe heatwave conditions. With the sky clearing, the sun will be pungent and it will be difficult to get out of the house in the afternoon.
