New Delhi: The severe cold in north India has been further disrupted by the rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange alerts predicting rain in several states in the coming days. Meanwhile, after heavy rains in Delhi for the last 3 days, the cold has now increased more than ever before.
According to the Met department, cold wave conditions are expected in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the next 3 to 4 days due to rain. At the same time, rain and snowfall continue in many parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, the Met department has issued an orange alert for the state on January 11 and 12, if we talk about Odisha. This is because it is expected to receive a hailstorm on January 11.
According to reports, the orange alert of IMD issued for Odisha warns of 'extremely bad weather.' It is also expected to shut down roads and rail routes and disrupt the power supply. In Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, the department has issued a yellow rain alert from January 11 to January 13.
