According to the Met department, heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi during the next 24 hours. At the same time, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh.
