Dehradun: After the weather department issued alert, all the districts of the state including the capital Dehradun are cloudy. In the queen of mountains, Mussoorie, the temperature has been dropped in the morning due to heavy rains. Since this rain there has been some relief from the heat. In the morning, a huge tree fell on the road near Balwadi on Lal Bahadur Shastri Administrative Akademi Road in Mussoorie. After which the roads of the surrounding areas were closed. The soldiers and officers of the Mussoorie Fire Service are trying to remove the tree from the path after reaching the spot. Light landslide also occurred on Mussoorie-Dehradun road.

Kedarnath road is also closed after landslides. After light rain on Saturday night, Badrinath High was closed due to debris and boulder in Pagalnala and Kanchanganga in Lambagad. The highway was opened after 9 am. Meanwhile, 12 contact routes of Chamoli district are still blocked due to landslides. Kedarnath walkway blocked, two hundred passengers stopped. Kedarnath walkway was blocked by landslide about 500 meters ahead of Gaurikund. The administration stopped the Kedarnath yatra from security point of view. More than 200 passengers were stranded at Sonprayag and Gaurikund, while 50 passengers returning to Kedarnath were stranded, who were evacuated safely by rope.

On Saturday morning, a roadside 500 meters from Gaurikund crashed due to landslides. The administration and police officials posted at Sonprayag on the information about the blocking of the route, have canceled the registration of the passengers going to Kedarnath for the time being. Law-Go ML Anjwal said that 169 passengers have been registered for Kedarnath, in which some people left ahead of Gaurikund by 6 am. The remaining 146 people have been detained at Gaurikund after breaking the road. More than 70 passengers have been stopped in Sonprayag, whose registration has not been given. 50 passengers returning from Kedarnath are also stranded due to the closure of the route. They are being rescued by the DDRF team with the help of rope. Here, Praveen Karnwal, EE of DDMA-Lonivi Guptkashi said that the roadway has crashed due to landslides. The road has been opened for the journey by Sunday afternoon.
