According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rains is expected to continue for the next two days. In fact, the IMD has predicted heavy rains in Mandi, Shimla, Solan, Kangra, Kullu, Una and Hamirpur and in the meantime, an advisory has been issued by the administration. It advised locals and tourists to stay away from rivers and drains and there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many areas of Odisha today. The IMD also said that moderate to fairly widespread rainfall with thundershowers and flashes are likely over Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand.

According to the Forecast of the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains with thundershowers in west Rajasthan and Gujarat between August 21 and 22. Meanwhile, a warning of rain has been issued in the ghat areas of East Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra. Moderate to heavy rains with thundershowers are likely at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, South Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh today. Similarly, northeastern states including Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland have also been forecast to receive heavy rainfall on August 21 and 22.
