Weather pleasant, but 'poison' in Delhi winds still AQI in 'poor' category"

New Delhi: Delhi, the capital of the country, has got a lot of relief from cold and fog, but till now the capital does not seem to be getting rid of pollution. Delhi's air quality (AQI) is continuously being recorded in the 'poor' category. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather in Delhi is pleasant in the morning. The minimum temperature in Delhi is likely to be 11 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is likely to be 27 degree Celsius. The level of pollution in Delhi is being recorded in the poor category for the past several days.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), Delhi's average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 280 in the morning. Whereas Noida's AQI was recorded at 297 and Haryana's Gurugram was 200. The air quality has been rated as 'good' between zero and 50, 'satisfactory' between 51 and 100, 'moderate' between 101 and 200, 'poor' between 201 and 300, 'very poor' between 301 and 400. ' and is recorded in the 'severe' range between 401 and 500.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the coming 24 hours in Delhi. According to IMD, on February 8 i.e. today (Tuesday), it will be cloudy in Delhi and there is a possibility of light rain. Also, rain and strong winds are expected on February 9. At the same time, the weather is likely to clear again from February 10.
