Dehradun: Right now the rainy season is going on in the country. In the meantime, there is a possibility of moderate to moderate rainfall in all the cities of Uttarakhand today. Although it has been sunny since morning in the plains including the capital Dehradun. But according to the bulletin issued by the Vadar Department, most areas of Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar are expected to receive rain.

Whereas Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Almora, Haridwar, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar may receive rain in some areas. Vaidar Center Director Bikram Singh told that there is also a possibility of cloudy over most of the areas in the capital. Light to moderate rainfall may occur over some areas. Badrinath highway got blocked in Lambagad in the morning. Traffic on Gangotri Highway is also closed.

Due to the landslides caused by the rain on Tuesday night, many contact routes were obstructed, including the Gangotri highway, which was cleared by the concerned road construction departments from Wednesday morning to clear the debris. But the route has not been opened yet. Due to rain on Tuesday night, there was a landslide in Swarigad area of Bhatwadi block, during which traffic on Gangotri Highway remained closed since late night. Due to landslides, vehicular movement was blocked in Kamad Ayarkhal, Bhela Tipri, Dharasu Jogat, Jaspur, Eldathi, Udri, Bhukki Kujjan and Dhauntari Siri motorways of the district. With this, people had to face many problems.
