Conditions are becoming favourable for the departure of the southwest monsoon from some more parts of northwest India and adjoining central India areas in the next two-three days. At the same time, many states of Andhra Pradesh and South India are currently seeing rain activities. At the same time, a cyclonic circulation lies over the central parts of Pakistan. At the same time, another cyclonic circulation is over the northwest and adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation is expected to emerge over the northeast and adjoining the east-central Bay of Bengal around October 1. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Odisha on September 29 and October 01 and 02. Jharkhand and sub-Himalayan West Bengal-Sikkim are likely to receive heavy rainfall on October 02, 2022. Apart from this, light to moderate rains may also occur in Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on October 02, 2022.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells may occur over Tamil Nadu, Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands. At the same time, light to moderate rains may occur in parts of Northeast India, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Gujarat. At the same time, light rains are possible in Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
