New Delhi: The MET department said, heavy rain is likely to occur over Gujarat, North Konkan, North Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada along with low-pressure areas over western parts of Vidarbha today. In Telangana, red alerts have been sounded in 14 districts in view of heavy rains. The districts are Nirmal, Jagityal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Bhaddri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mehboobabad, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Jangaon, Siddipet and Kamareddy. IMD said the cyclonic storm in these districts will bring very heavy rainfall along with strong winds.
