New Delhi: The MET department (IMD) says Delhi may receive heavy rain on the coming Sunday. In fact, strong winds of 40 kmph have been predicted in the capital. Heavy rain is also expected in some parts. In fact, the MET department has issued an orange alert for the coming Sunday. Let me tell you all that the monsoon season has completely started for the people of Delhi.

Heavy rain was recorded at ridge and Pitampura weather stations in the capital last Wednesday. Similar possibilities are now being raised on the coming Sunday. It is also being said that light rain may occur for the next two days. The MET department has also issued a warning that Delhi is likely to receive rain as well as strong winds of 30-40 kmph on Sunday. This puts the trees at risk of being uprooted and people should be careful during this time. Let me tell you that Delhi recorded a four-degree drop in temperature due to rain.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung Meteorological Centre in the recent past. The maximum temperature was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius during the same period. It is 2 degrees above normal. In addition, the humidity level in the air was recorded at 100 to 57 percent.
