Chandigarh:  In Rohtak, Haryana, an atmosphere of mourning was created instead of happiness among the three families on Holi. The car of four friends from Jind, who were returning from playing Holi with a friend in Bharan village of Maham, collided head-on with a roadside truck (Hydra) on the bypass of Bharan village. Jind residents Rakesh (42) and Himmat Singh (41) lost their lives in the collision. While Krishna and Raju were seriously injured. He has been admitted to PGI. Lakhan Majra police station has handed over the body to the family members after post-mortem.  

Police said Krishna, a resident of Rambucks Colony near Rohtak Road in Jind, in his complaint, has stated that he owns a bicycle shop in Jind. On Friday, he rode in a car with his accomplice Rakesh resident Ramnagar Colony Rohtak Road Jind, Himmat Singh resident Kilajafargarh district Jind Hall Gurudwara Colony Gali No. 1 and Raju resident Bhatnagar Colony Gali No. 1 Jind in a car and reached Bharan village of friend Maham, where his friend was staying.

The four were returning around 9 p.m. to meet their friend on Holi. When they reached the flyover in Bharan, a Hydra truck was parked on the road. The truck driver had also made any kind of symbol and there was no reflector on the truck. The car was being driven by Himmat Singh. The car crashed into the truck. All four were seriously injured in the collision. Himmat and Rakesh lost their lives, while Raju and Krishna were admitted to PGI. On getting information about the case, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and swung into action. Subsequently, a case of negligence has been registered against the Hydra truck driver.
