According to doctors, more than 130 Palestinian protesters were injured amid clashes with Israeli forces in the West Bank. According to media reports, intense clashes erupted on Friday near the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, which are located to the south and east of Nablus city, respectively, as well as near the town of Kafr Qaddum, which is located east of Qaqilya city.
According to the reports Palestine Red Crescent Society, at least 128 Palestinian protestors were hurt, including 36 by rubber bullets fired by Israeli forces. The others were injured as a result of breathing the tear gas, according to the statement. Meanwhile, two additional demonstrators were hurt by rubber bullets during skirmishes with Israeli forces in the Kafr Qaddum hamlet, according to Murad Ishteiwi, the Palestinian coordinator of the popular resistance in Qalqilya.
Hundreds of anti-settlement activists threw stones and burned tyres at Israeli soldiers stationed on the fringes of the settlements, according to witnesses. Weekly protests against the expansion of Israeli colonies in Beita and Beit Dajan have resulted in clashes with Israeli soldiers.
Four Palestinians, including three children, were hurt earlier on Friday when an Israeli settler opened fire on them near an Israeli settlement in Hebron's old city.
