In a case of hawala, a special team of Kolkata Police questioned BJP leader Mukul Rai on Saturday. He has been questioned by Kolkata Police of West Bengal at Kalighat police station in connection with hawala case against BJP leader Mukul Roy. Police is questioned on the court's order. Last year, an FIR was registered against Mukul at Kalighat police station. After this, the police sent a notice and called him for questioning. The BJP leader, who arrived at the police station on Saturday, was questioned by the Kolkata Police's special team for an hour.

Strong security arrangements were made outside the police station as a precautionary measure. Significantly, last year, Mukul Rai's name came up in the case of cheating in the name of making a member in the standing committee of the railway. A businessman named Santu Ganguly had filed a case against Mukul Rai and BJP leader Baban Ghosh. In that case, the Calcutta High Court gave relief to Mukul.

BJP leader Mukul Roy Narada appeared before the CBI on Saturday to face questioning in connection with the investigation of the tape scandal. Sources in the agency gave this information. Be aware that CBI arrested IPS officer SMH Mirza in connection with the investigation of this scandal. This was the first arrest after these tapes surfaced in 2016. In the footage, people resembling senior leaders of the Trinamool Congress were seen taking money from representatives of a fake company in order to benefit.
