Kolkata: PM Narendra Modi has reached Kolkata today to inspect the devastation of the storm of Amfan in West Bengal. He conducted an aerial survey with the state's CM Mamta Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankar. During this, Dilip Ghosh, President of Bengal BJP unit, from PM Narendra Modi has demanded to send the relief amount directly to the bank account of the affected people.

Another political earthquake could arise in the state with the demand of Bengal BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh. In a way, Dilip Ghosh has said in front of PM Narendra Modi that instead of giving relief package to the state government, direct compensation should be sent to the account of the victims. Now it has to be seen what CM Mamta Banerjee answers on this.  Amfan has caused a lot of destruction in the cities of Odisha and West Bengal. CM Mamata Banerjee herself has admitted that West Bengal has seen such devastation after many years.

The situation is so serious that PM Narendra Modi himself has had to go to the states. This is PM Narendra Modi's first visit during the lockdown, in which he is monitoring the situation in Odisha besides West Bengal. At the same time, PM Modi has announced to give 1000 crores for the help of Bengal.
