Protest In Bengal: Opposition to Mamata continues, says, "Citizenship law will not be implemented in Bengal.."

Kolkata: Raising the voice of protest against the CAB (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) on the road on Monday i.e. 16 December 2019, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that both the NRC and the citizenship law are unconstitutional and we will not implement it in Bengal. Terming the CAA as a black law, the Trinamool chief is demanding that it be withdrawn immediately.

Sources say that at 1 o'clock in the morning, the procession came out in front of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the constitution, which has ended by reaching the birthplace of poet Guru Rabindranath Tagore, Jodhankku Thakurbari. Addressing TMC supporters at the end of the procession, the TMC chief said that CAA is a black law and it should be withdrawn immediately. She said that communal harmony is our goal and we will not implement NRC in Bengal.
