The Swacch Sarvekshan released its results recently. Where on one hand Indore proudly grabbed the number one position twice in a row. West Bengal sadly has been nominated for homing the 7 dirtiest cities of India. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh homes three dirtiest cities counting along Khoda Makanpur in Ghaziabad district. Reportedly Bihar also hosts two municipal areas and Odisha with one of the10 dirtiest cities of India.

According to the survey done in the year 2017, Gonda in UP ranked 434 and was declared as the dirtiest municipal area. While in the year 2018 it managed a jump to the 228 position. it was the first time that West Bengal contested the Swachh Survekshan, covering 4,203 municipal areas across the country. The results were declared on Saturday by PM Narendra Modi.


With Indore conquering the first position, Bhopal maintained its 2nd position. Three cities including Chandigarh, Pune and Vijayawada, managed to make it to the list of 10 cleanliest cities of the country, pushing behind Surat, Tiruchirappalli and Vadodara.

Tirupati grabbed the number six position, which is a great jump from its previous position of number 9. Meanwhile Navi Mumbai suffered a slip back by one rank to the ninth position. Well Mysuru has also slipped back from its previous position of number five to recent position of number eight in this year's survey. The PM's constituency of Varanasi has reportedly progressed from its position of number 32 in 2017 to 29 this year in 2018.
