West Bengal: Speeding Jaguar car tramples two Bangladeshi nationals to death

Kolkata: In Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal, two Bangladesh-origin nationals succumbed to the state's speed. Both Bangladeshi nationals were killed in the incident. The Kolkata Police has identified the two Bangladesh nationals as Kazi Mohammad Manul Alam and Farhana Islam Tania. The driver of the car has escaped from the spot. Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and have started searching for the driver.

According to a senior officer of the Kolkata police station, the incident took place in the Seuppier Sarani police station area. Late Friday night, a Jaguar car collided head-on with a Merris car after breaking the traffic signal. After which the Jaguar car entered the police signal control booth. While, a woman and two police parked under the booth to escape the rain, the car was hit. After the incident, Jaguar was driving the car and fled.

Police rushed to the spot and rushed the three casualties to SSKM hospital with the help of local people. Two people, including a woman, died during treatment. However, the condition of the third remains fragile. According to police, the woman who lost her life in the incident has been identified as Farhana Islam Tania. He is originally a resident of Mohamedpur in Bangladesh.
