Kolkata: Like every year, this time too Kali Puja was performed with Yagna and chanting at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's residence, but this time due to Corona related restrictions, ministers and other celebrities were not invited to worship. Sources in the Trinamool state that the CM has made all the preparations under his supervision, including the preparation of indulgence.

Sources said that others including Banerjee's family and some top leaders of her party attended the puja. Mamata Banerjee's nephew and Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek was seen taking part in a yagna at Banerjee's residence in Kalighat area of the district. He said that a large number of people were invited on this occasion every year, but this time due to the Corona crisis, Banerjee's residence was worshiped with simplicity. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar also reached Mamata Banerjee's residence with his wife to attend Kali Puja last year.

Preparations for the elections to be held in Bengal in 2020 have started in the state. The Mamata government has decided to give motorcycles to the youth of Bengal under the 'Karma Sathi' scheme. It is being said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took this decision on November 4. Its purpose was to help about 1 million people. Transport Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has been giving hints of leaving the party for a long time in Mamta Banerjee's cabinet.
