Kolkata: Reports of violence keep coming to the fore during the rule of West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee. In Bengal, Hindus are being persecuted continuously by politically protected Muslims. On Sunday (October 9, 2022), a mob of Muslims set fire to the houses of Hindus in Mominpur and ransacked the houses. Regarding the violence here, the BJP has requested the Governor and the Ministry of Home Affairs to deploy central forces and the National Investigation Agency to investigate the incident.

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari tweeted, "Bengal BJP legislature party has submitted a memorandum to Hon'ble Governor La Ganesan. The memorandum urged them to take immediate steps like deployment of central forces, formation of a high-level committee, NIA probe etc in view of the Mominpur violence.'' At the same time, Suvendu Adhikari said in one of his tweets, "Before law and order gets out of hand in Bengal, I have written to Hon'ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Governor La Ganesan Ji requesting them to deploy central forces in view of Mominpur violence and vandalism at Ekbalpur police station.''

Actually, this whole incident is from the Mominpur area. On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi here, Muslims forcibly put up Islamic flags on the houses and shops of Hindus. Subsequently, when the Hindus tried to remove these flags, the Muslims became furious. After this, a mob of Muslims gathered in hundreds and attacked the houses and shops of Hindus. Not only stones or sticks but also petrol bombs have been used in this attack. In this incident, the houses of many Hindus have been burnt. Along with this, their vehicles and shops have also been set on fire and vandalism. At present, Section 144 has been imposed in this entire area.
