Kolkata: Instead of ending the confrontation with the Mamata Banerjee government's slogan of 'Jai Shri Ram' in West Bengal, it seems to be growing more as the elections come closer. Mamata's police has arrested BJP worker Amanish Iyer in Bengal. Amanish Iyer's 'crime' is that he was wearing a mask of 'Jai Shri Ram' and was distributing similar masks to people.

While giving information about this, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga wrote that the Bengal Police has arrested Amanish Iyer for distributing and wearing 'Jai Shri Ram' masks. BJP leader Amanish Iyer is the general secretary of Shrirampur Sangatnik district. Earlier, in West Bengal, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, some people started raising slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' as soon as Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee went on the stage at the Victoria Memorial.

Describing it as 'an insult to the government program', Mamata refused to give a clear indication that she had problems with the slogan 'Jai Shri Ram'. During a rally in Hubli, West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee also raised the slogan 'Hare Krishna Hare Ram, Vida Ho BJP-Left'. In this rally, Mamata also attacked the leaders who were joining the BJP after leaving the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and said that the BJP is a washing machine.
