The election round is still going on in the country and it has also increased the agitation in the polity. Addressing a rally in Sabang assembly constituency of West Midnapore in West Bengal on Tuesday, the defense minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that political violence will be completely curbed in the state when his government is formed. Rajnath Singh, while openly challenging the perpetrators of violence in the state, said, "Today, in West Bengal, bombs are also made in some places, bombs are thrown, political activists are killed, but from the second day of the day we form the government, we will see who has drunk mother's milk which can bomb the land of Bengal and throw bombs at the individuals."
Rajnath Singh also stressed on the Mamata government over political violence in the state and said that political violence in the state will be completely eradicated when his government is formed, Rajnath Singh further said, "I want to assure the people of Bengal, on the day the BJP government will be formed in Bengal, whether it will be an activist of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Whether it is the TMC or the Congress or whether it is the CPM, we will not allow any attack on anybody, we want to assure you, the violence that will take strong action. We will keep the law and order here. Because if we want to develop here, the first demand for development is security. Unless the people feel safe, this state will not be developed, so there is a need for a government that can guarantee security."
On the schemes of the center which have not been laid down in West Bengal, Rajnath Singh attacked TMC and CM Mamata Banerjee and said that the schemes cannot be implemented in Bengal, so change is necessary here. Rajnath Singh said that in a democracy, the government does not act as a ruler but acts as a servant and the CM should also work with service.
