New Delhi: The thrill of t20, the shortest format of cricket, continues. The fourth match of the 5-match T20 series between West Indies and South Africa saw a spectacular cricket ingestion. For West Indies, skipper Kieron Pollard hit an unbeaten 51 in a stormy innings. Dwayne Bravo (4/19) then helped West Indies beat South Africa by 21 runs in the fourth T20 match played at the National Cricket Stadium here to level the five-match series 2-2.
Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first and the West Indies batted first, scoring 167 for six in 20 overs thanks to Pollard's unbeaten 51 off 25 balls with the help of two fours and five sixes. Chasing the target, South Africa were 146 for nine in 20 overs despite Quinton de Kock's brilliant knock of 60 off 43 balls (6 fours, 2 sixes). Apart from Bravo, Andre Russell took two wickets while Chris Gayle, Obed McCoy and Pollard took one wicket each.
In south africa's innings, De Kock's additional Aidan Markram scored 20 and David Miller 12 while Kagiso Rabada remained unbeaten on 16. Earlier, Lendl Simmons scored 47 off the Windies innings and Fabian Allen remained unbeaten on 19 off 13 balls with the help of two fours and a six. For South Africa, George Linde and Tabrez Shamsi took two wickets each, while Enrique Notreje and Rabada took one wicket each. The final and decisive match of the series between the two teams will be played at the same ground on July 3.
