Bangladesh Cricket team captain Shakib Al Hasan refused to comment anything on the incident that happened during the match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Nidahas Trophy on Friday. He was addressing a press conference on Saturday.

“There's nothing that we want to discuss. What happens in the ground, remains in the ground. Both Cricket Boards had good relations for last 10-15 yrs, players have good relations,” said Shakib Al Hasan.

While chasing the target set by Sri Lanka, players from Bangladesh involved in a spat with the umpire and the opponents. Mustafizur Rahman and Mahmudullah were batting when Sri Lankan bowler Isuru Udana bowled two short-pitched delivery. The umpire did not signal a no-ball to any of them and Mustafizur Rahman got run out while trying to give the strike to Mahmudullah.

The batsmen approached the umpire over the issue. Meanwhile, Nurul Hasan entered the ground with drinks and got into an argument with Thisara Perera. Shakib Al Hasan was agitated with the events. Later, Rahman returned to the pavilion and other batsman took the charge, eventually winning the game.

Following the incident, Shakib Al Hasan was fined 25% of his match fee as a penalty.

The Nidahas Trophy 2018 final match will be played between India and Bangladesh on Sunday.
