New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had announced the Agnipath recruitment scheme for a major change in the recruitment process in the Army. Rajnath Singh said that under the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme, youth will be admitted in the Army for 4 years. Along with this, they will get a service fund package at the time of leaving the job. Under this scheme, the youth joining the Army will be called Agniveer. As soon as the flame of this scheme has come down, the youth across the country have come down to the protest, let us tell you every information related to it, what is the Agneepath scheme and why there is a protest taking place all over the country about it.

The big points of the Agneepath scheme:-
- The youth will be admitted to the Army for 4 years.
- Due to this, the firemen will get attractiveness pay.
After 4 years of army service, the youth will be given more opportunities for the future.
- After 4 years of job, the service fund package will be received.
- Most of the jawans to be recruited under this scheme will be released after 4 years. However, some young people will be able to continue their jobs.
- The youth of 17.5 years to 21 years will get the opportunity.
Training will be from 10 weeks to 6 months.
Students of 10/12th standard will be able to apply.
- 90 days will be the first recruitment of Agniveers.
- If a Fireveer is martyred during the service of the country, his family members will get an amount of more than Rs 1 crore along with interest, including the service fund. Apart from this, the remaining job will also be paid.
At the same time, if a Fireveer becomes disabled, he will be given an amount of up to Rs 44 lakh. Apart from this, the rest of the job will also be paid.
- Recruitments will be made on the basis of merit across the country. Those who will be selected in these recruitment exams will get a job for four years.

You will get a salary of up to Rs 40,000:-
Under this scheme, about 45,000 youth will be recruited in the Army every year. These recruitments will be done on the basis of merit and medical tests. The selected youth will get an opportunity to serve in the Army for four years. In these four years, agniveers will be given 6 months of basic military training. The firemen will be given 30,000 to 40,000 salary and other benefits per month. During this time, Agnivir will get awards, medals and insurance cover like permanent soldiers of the three services. You will get an insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh.
If martyred or disabled during service, their family will be given compensation of up to Rs 44 lakh. After completion of four years, 25 per cent will get the opportunity to serve in the army for another 15 years. Those Agniveers who will be out after four years will be given a tax-free nearly Rs 12 lakh in lump sum under the Service Fund package.

Why was the decision made:-
- Youth who have a sense of service to the country will get opportunities.
- There will be a short and long term job opportunity in the Army.
- The share of youth in the three services will increase.

What will Agniveer do after completing 4 years:-
Questions were being raised that even though 25 per cent of the agniveers would be admitted to the permanent cadre after the completion of four years, what would be the option of the remaining 75 per cent of the youth after four years? On this, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had said that many ministries and state governments have expressed their desire that if there is any recruitment in their ministries, corporations, agniveers will be given priority in this. On the new scheme 'Agneepath', Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Home Ministry has decided to give priority to Agniveers who have completed 4 years in this scheme in recruitment to CAPFs and Assam Rifles. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath announced that after four years of service under the Agneepath scheme, agniveers will be given priority in the UP Police and other related services.

Why is there opposition to the Agneepath recruitment scheme?
In fact, on Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the Agneepath recruitment scheme for a four-year job in the Army. Under this, about 46 thousand recruitments have to be made within 90 days. It has been reported that these recruitments will be from all the 773 districts of the country. But many young people are not happy with it. It is being said that there was no justification for the examinations held in the last two years, because it was told that those recruitments will also be under this program. Many students who are waiting for the results by giving the exam are angry with this decision of the government. Anger is being seen on the streets as well as on social media. The question of the youth is that 25 per cent of the Agniveers will be included in the permanent cadre after the contract is over, but what will happen to the remaining 75 per cent of the Agniveers after four years. The government will give them the allowance, but where will the job come from?
