For many people, drinking a cup of morning coffee, even on an empty stomach, is a kind of ritual that is carried out every day and causes a lot of positive emotions. Coffee contributes to the awakening, allows you to focus, bring thoughts in order, "disperse" the blood in the vessels. In a word, it brings invaluable benefit to people who wake up in the morning for a long time and hard. Is it really so? Let us try to find out, referring to some scientific sources about human physiology and chemical reference books.

Scientific research in the field of these two drinks has a very long and rich history. Being widely used around the world, coffee and tea are of particular interest due to the relevance of consistently obtained data. The main direction of all research is aimed at studying the effects of components of drinks on individual organs and systems, as well as on the organism as a whole.

For example, researchers from the Center for Health Science and Primary Care, located in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 2010, comparing tea and coffee with each other against the background of their effects on the cardiovascular system, concluded that regular consumption of these two drinks reduces the risk of developing pathologies of the heart and blood vessels. However, one condition must be met: use must be clearly regulated in its quantities. An interesting fact is that the tea drink was more effective than coffee, showing a fairly high percentage of risk reduction - from 45% to 20%, in the cardiovascular system.

Below are five reasons that may recommend leaving the daily use of coffee and replace it with tea.

Tea contains much less caffeine, unlike coffee

Both tea and coffee contain caffeine, but in very different quantities. The list presents the comparative characteristics of the quantitative content of caffeine in various types of tea and coffee beverage. It should be noted that these values correspond only to freshly teas of medium strength. As for coffee, only freshly brewed drink from natural grains was taken for research. The caffeine concentration is indicated in one cup, a volume equal to 150 ml.

Natural coffee contains up to 200 mg of caffeine.
Green tea - 35-60 mg.
White tea - 30-55 mg.
Oolong - 50-75 mg.
Black tea - 60-90 mg.

Thus, coffee contains 110 mg more caffeine than the strongest black tea. This allows us to conclude that drinking tea is much safer, even during periods of pregnancy and lactation. The situation is greatly aggravated in the presence of pathologies of the heart or blood vessels - the stimulating effect of caffeine contributes to its negative impact.

Tea is really good for health.

The benefits of a tea drink are confirmed by scientists, while coffee has proven less effective in this matter of study. Most of the tea origin comes from China, which is represented by the leaves and buds of the tea bush Camellia Chinese. Infusions from this plant are rich in polyphenols, which are represented by antioxidant substances, catechins, and also have a special type of catechin, which is able to slow down the development of atypical cells in oncological pathologies. These amazing natural substances can find mutated cells in the body and subject them to the process of neutralization.

Recent studies have shown that black tea is 10 times richer in antioxidants compared with fresh fruits and vegetables. In the end, it turns out that a tea drink can replace a portion of fresh salad for those who are not a fan of vegetables.

Tea promotes weight loss

Long since tea is used as a means for losing weight. Tea is recommended for people who want to lose those extra pounds and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

The chemical composition of tea, namely, its polyphenolic complex, allows us to conduct a winning struggle against excess weight, but, nevertheless, not alone. These substances block the excessive absorption of fats and carbohydrates, which does not allow excess fat to accumulate in the subcutaneous tissue. Moreover, the tea drink contains the minimum number of calories, of course, if any sweeteners or dairy products are added to it.

Tea is always very tasty, fragrant, varied.

Undoubtedly, the matter of taste is a personal matter of each person. We know about a large number of different ways of preparing a coffee drink, each of which is distinguished by its unique taste, color and smell. But also various tea varieties with the same rich palette of flavoring and fragrant shades, no less.

There are fermented teas, for example, black tea, semi-fermented - white and red teas, green, which do not undergo fermentation processes at all. In addition, the varietal affiliation of teas is enhanced by the style of production, the addition of various elements that give the finished drink a unique taste and aroma.

Tea is a source of energy

No need to worry that tea will not give that cheerfulness that is inherent in a coffee drink. The influx of energy will be the same power, and due to its mild effect - the effect will be longer. This is due to the difference in the rate at which caffeine enters the human blood system. Tea contains additional substances that are associated with caffeine and release it only under the action of digestive enzymes. Therefore, tea caffeine enters the body in successive, moderate portions without inflicting a shock on the body.

Caffeine contained in coffee is chemically free, and therefore enters the blood in almost the entire volume. A sharp surge in caffeine levels causes stress for the brain cells and blood vessel walls, especially in the morning when the metabolism in these systems is at a fairly low level.
