Patna: The Nitish Kumar government of the state has taken a big step towards resolving the dispute of agricultural land in Bihar. The team from IIT Roorkee has completed the work of land survey and now very soon, through the Bihar Chakbandi Rules, the cultivable land of different places of the farmers will be done at one place. After this initiative of the Bihar government, while the farmers will be benefited, there will also be a decline in the land dispute.

Let us tell you that the land dispute is the most complex problem of Bihar, but soon this problem will end, because the Bihar government has started the initiative in this direction. To end the land dispute from the root, the Bihar government is getting the work of land survey done and very soon after consolidation, it will provide plots of land at one place to those farmers whose land is at different places. According to the Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms Department Ram Surat Rai, this work is being done by a five member team of IIT Roorkee. The team has almost completed this work and in the coming days we will consolidate and provide land to the farmers.

Minister Ramsurat Rai also tells that this initiative was taken by CM Nitish Kumar seven years ago from today and now it has reached its culmination. After this initiative of the government, not only will the land dispute come down, but if the farmers want, they will be able to give their land on rent and will also be able to sell the land. Farmers will be able to make school, college, hospital or whatever they want to make on their land without any dispute. To make this work faster, an app is also being made by the team of IIT Roorkee.

What is Chakbandi (consolidation)?

If a farmer has small pieces of land in ten different places, then it is brought to one place and given to that farmer as chak. The biggest thing in this is that commercial and sentiment are seen in it, as well as road water is arranged to reach to each land. That is, you can go directly to any plot by tractor. The entire work is being done electronically, so that nothing goes wrong.

When was the Chakbandi (consolidation) law made?

Let us inform that the law of consolidation in Bihar was made in 1956 and its rules were made in 1958. After the rules were made, work on consolidation started in Bihar in 1970-71. During this, consolidation started in 180 zones of 16 districts in Bihar, which included 28 thousand villages, but in 1992 the consolidation was postponed, after which the Kaimur Kisan Sangh approached the court and after the order of the court, then consolidation started in 1996.
