New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is on a visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi today i.e. Thursday and is scheduled to lay the foundation stone and dedicate several projects for the people of Banaras and Purvanchal. The cost price of a total of 284 projects is Rs. 1582.93 crores. This includes the Rudraksha Convention Centre (Rudraksha Varanasi convention centre) built at a cost of Rs 186 crore.

 

PM Modi will also attend a function of the Rudraksha Varanasi convention centre with The Sigra Municipal Corporation in collaboration with Japan. Rudraksha trees will also be planted here by PM Modi in a meeting with the Japanese delegate. The International Cooperation and Conference Centre 'Rudraksha' will present a glimpse of the cultural prosperity of the ancient city of Kashi. Officials said 108 Rudrakshak have been installed at the conference centre and its roof has been designed in the shape of shiv linga. The two-storey centre is built on 2.87 hectares of land in the Sigra area and can accommodate about 1,200 people. According to the information received, the 'Rudraksha' centre aims to provide opportunities for social and cultural dialogue to the people. International conferences, exhibitions, concerts and other events will be held here.

Its corridor is decorated with a variety of paintings. The Varanasi International Cooperation and Convention Centre (VCC) has been set up with the help of the Japan international cooperation agency. It is also characterized by being divided into smaller locations if needed. PM Modi will dedicate 78 projects worth Rs 744.02 crore in Varanasi on Thursday. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of 206 projects worth Rs 838.91 crore. The cost price of 284 total projects is Rs. 1582.93 crores.
