Food plays very importantly in your overall health. Your fitness depends on your food intake. There are various food items that have a very high amount of fiber or protein. However, the quantity of vitamins is negligible. At the same time, antioxidants are found in abundance in some food items but the quantity of minerals is very less. So here is a list of some superfoods that fulfill all the requirements of your body.


What is superfood:

A Superfood includes all such food items which have large amounts of nutrients. In simple words superfoods have the power to provide your body with the required amount of nutrients with fewer calories. It contains high amounts of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants all together. Antioxidants help in protecting our body from free radicals. Here is the list of superfoods. 

Blueberries: Fiber, magnesium, vitamin K and antioxidants are found in blueberries. It helps to reduce our blood pressure and avoid heart-related diseases.

Goose Berries: Elements like vitamins, minerals, fiber, iron, copper, amino acids and proteins are found in it.  Gooseberries also have antioxidant properties. It is considered very beneficial for our kidneys, liver, and eyes.

Green leafy vegetables: Green leafy vegetables like spinach is also considered superfoods. They are rich in vitamins A, C, E, and K. Along with this, they also contain iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium.

Fish:  Omega-3 fatty acids are found in high amounts in salmon and other fatty fish. Eating fish reduces the level of cholesterol and also reduces the risk of abnormal heartbeat.

Nuts: Nuts like walnuts and almonds are good sources of plant-based protein. They also contain monounsaturated fat, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease.

Seeds: Sunflower, pumpkin, Chea seeds, and flax seeds are considered as superfoods. You can also eat them as snacks. By consuming these seeds, one can get rid of heart disease, high blood pressure, and cholesterol problems.
